Saturday 21 June 2008 A ‘soundscape’ made largely from bamboo will explore how nature creates music with plants. Simple constructions invite visitors to experience a non conventional way of listening to music depending on the wind, the day and their own moods. Artists Susie Brown and Ziggy Campbell and composer Kimho Ip demonstrate the aesthetic potential of bamboo; as slender as grass or as robust as scaffolding. Harmony will be involved in the live performance to accompany the installation. Supported by the Scottish Arts Council and the Dunard Foundation. An iMAP production.
