The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum will host a day of fun and action for all ages to mark the opening of the Beijing 2008 Olympics.  

10.30am - join us in breaking the Guiness World record for the longest Chinese Whisper in the world.

12 noon – opening ceremony starts with South China’s famous, heart-stopping, exciting and colourful Drum Drama.

Activities include:

• Chinese music performance and workshop by Harmony
• Beijing Olympic Stadium model workshop
• Chinese art and craft workshops
• Chinese object handling sessions
• Mandarin lessons for beginners
• Martial arts, Kung Fu and Tai Chi demonstrations and participation
• Ping pong
• Shuttlecock games
• Bamboo dancing game, and
• Cycling
