Fong LiuFong Liu, who sings in our ensemble, will give a talk as well as sing period songs from 20th century China. She will cover Chinese marching music, 1930’s Shanghai jazz, traditional urban folk songs, patriotic songs, Cultural Revolution songs, Madam Mao’s opera, rock and roll, contemporary and pop songs. Some songs will be accompanied by another Harmony Ensemble founder, Eddie McGuire.

This event is organised by the Scotland-China Association for the Glasgow and Edinburgh branch Annual General Meeting. This event is free to Scotland-China Association members and £1.50 (£1.00 concession) to non-members. For information on the Association, please visit http://www.scotchina.org/.
