Craigie Folk Club E-mail

5 February 2010, 8pm
Craigie Inn, near Kilmarnock

Dave Dewar was the first Scottish folk club organiser to book a Chinese music group back in 2005 for his Monkton club. Now, on Friday night (Feb 5th), he has invited back the Harmony Ensemble to play for his club in the Craigie Folk Club at the Craigie Inn in Craigie village near Kilmarnock. They feature Chinese zither (Zheng), bamboo flute (Dizi), fiddle, moon guitar (Zhongruan), percussion and the singing and martial arts of Liu Fong.  Fong will include a Scots song "The Banks and Braes O' Bonnie Doon" as a tribute to the current 'Save the Doon' campaign.
